97 Lexus LS 400 sparks only once on passenger ignition coil
Ok I have a 97 Lexus LS 400. I can't seem to get it to start after taking it on vacation. I checked both iginiton coils and my coil on the driver side is working fine but the coil on the passenger side is a different story. When I first checked it it had no spark. So I assumed it was the coil until I swapped it to the driver side and it worked fine. The one from the driver side wouldn't spark on passenger side, leading me to believe it wasn't the coil. So the harness to the passenger coil was a little cracked so I got a new one thinking mabe it had bad connection. Still didn't change a thing, I purchased new igniters for both coils and still nothing. So I took out my ecu and sure enough I seen two bad capacitors with some acid leakage , I had both capacitors replaced and the board cleaned. Plugged up the computer thinking this would definitely solve the problem. Instead it will spark 1 initial time when you crank it on the passenger side but it will not continue to spark. Driver side still working fine. Fuel pump and pressure are good. I've heard to replace the cam sensor and crankshaft sensor and that may work??? Any ideas I'm totally baffled and not sure what I'm missing.
When you do try to crank it, it turns over but won't start can make a video if you would like
