Hey guys. Just a quick update. Sent the car in to get looked over by a performace 1uz shop here on the gold coast. I asked a few mechanics and they all just had no clue. As soon as this guy heard it run he said it sounds and drives like an injector is off. Right side cat temp was also way higher. I will let you know when it is sorted but he is pretty busy. So no lexus for me til after xmas

Hi Guys, Installed the new leads and the issue was still present.
I purchased all new plugs a few months ago, installed them without double checking the numbers the shop gave me, 2 of the plugs were wrong! Replaced the 2 plugs, car runs like a dream. Unfortunately those 2 plugs damaged the leads. I replaced the 2 stuffed leads and all good.
I installed different plugs while troubleshooting and the issue remained as 2 of the leads, on the mismatched plugs were buggered. I also went ahead and took my celsior in for an injector clean, and plugged some of the PS lines and vaccum lines that were annoying me.

So are we still dealing with a misfire issue?

Well, no good deed goes unpunished. Have you read the code(s)? I have annoyed the accumulator pump runtime monitor on my '92, and even bleeding the trac lines only helps for a brief while. I fear the accumulator charge has discharged.

you have bad plugs and wires make sure you use only ones the factory used and buy the best wires. i did not do this and my 1990 ran real bad.one more thing - if you are doing the timing belt remove the radiator and there is a lot of fine rubber edge seals around everything and most important there is a wire plug about the size of a square quarter on the driver side coil wire make sure you have them glued in along with all the other seals before you close up everything also remove the battery and its hold down plate it takes minutes to do but saves so much time also use anti cease on the plugs and do not over tighten your plus .remember heat is the key on the old parts.hope this helps
