Lol yea theres another salesman at my dealer with a super clean ls430 and it stands out but im realizing i might have jumped the gun with saying i need a lexus.. one drives a bmw, another also drives a benz, one drives a mazda and there are a few who do drive newer lexus’s. I still want to get one but I need to wait until i get some $$ coming in. Im not even suposed to be talking to customers really until i pass all the sales tests

The sales guys at my dealer all drive a range of cars, no obligation to get a Lexus unless you want one, although being passionate about the car you sell never hurts. As for an old car, the used car manager at my dealer still drives a bright red 1992 SC400 year round in perfect shape, and has an SC430 when hes not driving that. The SC400 always catches my before anything else on the lot.

Yesterday was my frist day there so they gave me a pin code and said “go out and drive all the cars have fun” so i went and drove each car including the new ls460 and it was a very nice car but as crazy as it sounds to me it still doesnt have the character as the ls400

The 2018 ls460 i drove for about 45 min, was a very nice car with a sticker price of 82k.. but to me it felt like any other new car.. its odd to get behind the wheel of a car and see a hood infront of you in 2017 but other then that it didnt really feel like I was driving anything exclusive. The new lexus’s look and feel like cookie cutter cars (same as all other modern cars) but for 82 grand I would expect more, i wonder if the 2018 s class feels the same way? I feel like car makers are trying to put too much technology into cars and all that is going to do is leave them very outdated 10 years from now (in my opnion)

One thing i will give the ls460 is that all the wood grain matches.. its all cut from one large sheet of wood so the grainlines flow and match from one side of the car across the dash to the other side of the car
