What to expect on a 2000 LS
I purchased a 2000 LS400 with 113,000 miles on it; the car has no rust and runs well. I'll have to flush all the fluids, put on new shocks and replace some lights and a few hoses. Given that the car was well maintained, how many miles can I expect to get out of her given her age and condition? Other than the timing belt which has been done, are there any other maintenance items I should be concerned with?
Thank You
Thank You

A timing belt/water pump job with OEM parts will last you somewhere in the 90k-180k range (if you really push it). You've got awhile to not worry about it (as long as you replaced all the necessary components and didn't look over replacing little stuff).
Other things you should look at maintenance wise as the miles go up:
-Oil Control Valves
-Transmission Mount
-Motor Mounts
-Coolant Temp Sensor
-Fuel Filter

Other items that get overlooked that should be inspected/replaced on a car this age:
Enjoy the ride and welcome to the club.
- All vacuum lines and clamps
- Radiator condition and hoses
- PCV valve, grommet and hose
- Valve cover gasket and spark plug tube seals to avoid oil leaks as the material gets hard and less compliant.
- engine air filter and cabin air filter, yes you have one behind the glove box. Generally the cabin filter gets ignored.
- Spare tire age/condition. Could be original and not fit for use when you need it.
Enjoy the ride and welcome to the club.

these things run forever, keep up the good maintenance.
