I know I'll get flamed for not finding this elsewhere but WTHeck: Replaced the front passenger side seat belt retractor with used unit from same year/model. Somewhere along airbag light came on and stays on. Checked connectors - ok. Tried the reset procedure many times and think I did it correctly. All I get from the airbag light is code 74 - 7 long flashes space 4 long flashes. Little help?

ok, just making sure. The codes do have valid #'s with the transmission system also but not from this light.
A code 64 in the SRS assembly is an issue with the PL squib circuit, th 74 code is the PR squib circuit. Basically the system is seeing an isssue in the circuit between the center air bag sensor and the pretensioners in both of the front seat belts, the harness is basically shaped like a "T" from the center air bag sensor. So either the center air bag assembly is bad, the wiring between the sensor and the seat belts is bad or you have bad pretensioners at the belts. If this was my car I would ohm out the wiring between the 2, if found good then try another center air bag sensor.
