Default Five miles from 300,000 miles... what should I do? :-D

So I'm five miles from the magical 300,000 mark. What should I do to celebrate? Any body else with this many miles on their car and still going strong?

Congratulations to you, and to Lexus, for reaching this incredible milestone.
At this point, the car doesn't owe you a thing...... as long as you like driving it, just keep going till it drops! You can now play the "how many more miles does it go before it drops" game.
This is the same as paying off your home mortgage, the rest is gravy.

I'm at 287k... probably won't hit 300k for another year at least, but my friend that has a bunch of Acuras, one of which is a 550k mile Legend 6spd coupe always pulls over at the side of the highway and takes a video leading up to the milestone. But his car has the more analog odometer, so it's a bit more fun watching the numbers roll over

Yea I'm planning on taking a picture and posting it as soon as I hit that 300,000. You mentioned your friend having 550k miles on his Acura. Is he still driving it daily??

Although I'm in a 430, I'm shooting for hitting 300K on my 2001. I'm at 178K now, and I drive 32-35,000 miles/year, so as long as no one hits me, I'll be seeing 300,000 in 4 years or so.. I remember when hitting 100,000 was a big deal..

Congratulations on hitting the milestone!

I'm pushing 330k+ on my 97. Treat the engine good with maintenance and it'll last.

Request your local Lexus dealer prepare a press release in return to you coupled with complimentary fluid changes; brake, coolant, engine oil, transmission fluid and differential oil.

Congrats on the 300K mark! 300K will come in about 28 years at the rate we are driving ours. LOL. By then we'll be in on call electric pods and Uber will have become the major player in providing transportation.

They would probably say "Call us back in 700k miles and we'll talk about a free key chain or something."

Congrats on the 300k, but is your friend Tyson that got the ILX? His car would be spotless for a car with 50k, it’s incredible

he makes it a habit to drive it at least once a week to get the fluids circulating. He currently is using his 92 Aztec Green Integra GSR for most of his dd duties.

Tonight he took out his 91 NSX which he let me take for a spin after I tossed him keys to my 89 Accord SEi with 42k original miles I just finished up.

If you're interested in his exploits with his Acuras, he's got 5 of them all very rare in their own right, and all manual transmissions, you can see his blogs on www.drivetofive.com

yep! that's him! I just hung out with him tonight after repairing my super minty 89' Accord SEi I purchased 2 weeks back. He was stoked to see it running and driving and "rescued". We went to a local car show tonight in Scottsdale and I cruised with him in his NSX and a friend in a Civic Type R.

His 2013 ILX now has over 200k miles on it, its in his brother's possession now while he looks for another 90's Acura that piques his interest.

Congratulations, that's pretty cool. I'd personally try to make it to 500,000k.

I'm at 168,000 in my LS460. I drive around 25k-30k a year. But where I live the salty roadways and winters kill cars way before their time. I try to wash the undercarriage religiously so I'll see what that does for me.

You were actually right. They told me that perhaps the next time I come in for a service they can provide me a Lexus Mug or something lol

By the way I finally went over... Just figured I'd post a pick at exactly 300,000

I'll post some full body pictures of the car after I wash her. Its been too cold here in Georgia to be outside!!
