Default 1999 auto leveling HID headlights pointed too low

Hi everyone,

I noticed that my headlights aim up and then down super low when I turn them on after I finished replacing the lower ball joint on the front passenger side. Could I have damaged the sensor while working on the car? Can I fix this somehow or unplug the sensor altogether? Thanks

Me too!
I just purchased a new-old "99" and am having a similar issue. One just aims low. Anybody?
Hello out there-air-air-air (humorous echo)?

I just manually adjusted them using the 8mm bolts on the housing. I think my auto leveling is done for LOL

the sensor might be positioned wrong, or worse broken, behind the wheel. check it before adjusting the headlight itself. it is highly likely you did something while working on the ball joint.

I think so unfortunately. I've checked several times now. In what ways could the sensor be sensored wrong? Thank you

I've seen the sensor installed upside down or incorrectly after being removed. make sure the sensor arm is parallel to the ground. like this:
(this is for the ride height sensor on cars equipped with air suspension, the headlight adjustment sensor looks similar)
