Made the mistake of trading in my LS400 last month when I acquired a great 1 owner '02 LS430. It was a tough decision to make after searching for 2 years, putting a lot of love and care into "Big Lex", and enjoying 5,000 miles of blissful, trouble free driving in a vehicle that rightfully earned the privilege to be marketed as "the finest automobile in the world." I could go on and on about how great, bulletproof, and timeless this car is but I'd be preaching to the choir. However, it was no longer sufficient for my new commute where I do all my driving in the dark and I'd been looking for an excuse to buy an LS430 lol when the exact one that I wanted popped up at the Toyota dealership where I'd get my car serviced at. Needless to say, I miss "Big Lex" and all of the great memories I made and thought I'd do a Google search with the VIN number to see if it was up for sale. Sure enough, a small dealer in South Carolina ended up with my car and put it up for sale on eBay. Understand the missing part... hopefully it will go to a good home.. and you only had 5k miles with it. Imagine if you had more. Have 20k on my latest purchase, but miss my 1st purchase, 1993 model, the most. But the next owner, teenager totaled it. Hopefully you'll settle into the LS 430 soon enough.

 

I hope so too. The '93 model is one of the nicest that I've seen. Sorry to hear that yours got totaled by the new owner. I'm already on my way to loving the 430 more than the 400 but it's an adjustment.
