I have to agree. This car IS the 1990's genre defined. Its pretty without being IN YOUR FACE about it IMO. Its a subtle beauty.

I think Im turning into billydpowe,is this the first of many Lexii? I truly dont want ANY other car.

Example...
Took the 'grocery getter' to a place Ive never been to before. On 13th street.Look up,Im passing 9th street, completely missed 13th.
I was so enjoying the ride,in a light rain,I totally spaced out on where I was actually going. Thats a fine testament to what a joy this car is.

There was no traffic at 6am and guy on my bumper, why? Beats me.So I honestly gently accelerated and guy is now a block behind me.No muss,no fuss,no noise,no drama...just extreme competence and comfort.

I LOVE THIS CAR.

I did the TB job when I was in AZ. I think the place I used was Tempe Imports. I kinda wouldn't recommend them though, since he screwed up the the timing the first time and let me drive off like that. Then the second time, he didn't bleed the coolant properly and I had to add some. I think it was literally his first time ever working on an LS400. But after he "fixed" it the second time, its been great for over 2 years now.

Im going to do the drain 2 qts/replace tranny fluid with each Oil change, bought this for 12 qts for 64.03,add tax, free delivery from amazon, this is correct, right? Thanks.

LOL,I wound up on a Tacoma site looking for tranny fluid, and they are having a big fight over the HIGH COST of tranny fluid they might change every 60-100,00 miles. And what cheap fluid can they use instead. Why mess with it,compatibility issues and such? For such a ridiculous amt they might 'save'? All I could think of was penny wise pound foolish.

Edit, sorry these pics from imgur are so large, any advice on that?

Based on this finding I would say you're good to go.

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/rx-...309-is-ok.html

I'm close to Toyota dealer so I just buy mine there.

And I would imagine that Tacoma owners might be a little tighter in the pocket than original purchase Lexus owners. Don't tell them I said that.
Don't have a Tacoma, but do own a 4Runner....

You know that threads 10 years old, right? (never mind, just teasing......had to be there)

Thanks for the verify,I order this stuff in the wee hours of the morning after searching hi and lo,really DONT want to screw up something as important as ATF. Or be holding the wrong parts like 10 oil filters, even if it looked good thru blurred eyes.

LOL,I paid 2,500 dollars and I want to change my fluids,a lot....Damn the costs, full speed ahead!!!! Or something nautical like that.

LOL... I know you're enjoying your car... you're still spending money on it. We quit spending money on them when they no longer please us.
But you're in the 'honeymoon' phase as you just bought it. Wait 4 years from now... you're feelings will be even stronger.

Thanks Losiracer2 for the shop tip. Besides what seem to be very high labor for the TB service, most shops will not warranty or even install customer supplied parts (even though I'm using OE). I'll keep looking until I find the right shop, although I'll probably go with one that has Lexus experience.

Stay warm. Winter's not over yet where you are. 75 and sunny here today.
