Hey hey...my first car is a '91 ls400, and I paid for it myself...while paying gas and insurance while I borrowed my dad's truck the first few months i had my license, and then paying gas and insurance for my lex when I bought it. lol I'd say I deserved it.

i feel happy to have my 1995 ls400 too :]. it my first car once i got out of high school since my dad didnt want to pay for gas on it lmao. so now im stuck with all the financial troubles of maintenance and what not . i dont pay for insurance like nawls400. but i pay for everythin else . like gas i just finished doing the big tune up which is timing belt, serpentine belt, radiator, water pump, new ecu since mine died, spark plugs, distributors cap and rotors, spark plug wires, bilstien shocks, tananbe springs, got new isx50 wheels, new cross drill/slotted rotors, ceramic brake pads, i do oil change ever 3k miles or sometimes every month hehe, redid all the audio myself. i try to take care of my ls400 as much as possible. i want it to last forever :]. since its my first car i dont want to give it up or let anything happen to it. so i just try to flush things as much as possible. always check my fluids at least once a week to make sure everything good and full. so far most of the money that went into my car is from maintaining it. :]
200k+ still going strong hehe

Yeah it blows trying to take keep up a Lexus as a student...it's even more of a problem cuz my dad will never accept that something on a car might ever need to be tuned up or maintained...at 4,000 miles (since i've had the car, not since the last oil change which was like 4 months before i bought it) he told me to wait until 6,000miles before an oil change...now i'm at 6,000 and he says wait till 8,000 its really annoying, haha especially since it's all been my money from the start that's pretty dadmn good though 555,000 miles is a rediculious amount of miles (even though it was '89) it makes me pretty damn proud to be an owner of a Lexus though.

I read this article through lexls.com and when I did, I told myself: the LS is a keeper. I told my wife she'll be driving the car till it hits 500k +, she gave me that look. lol the car is a beast and hopefully mine will last alot longer.

There is a lexus dealer in Westlake CA that had a customer in 2003 had 568,000 miles on it. He traded in in Utah and he got a ES300 and all he had to do was pay the tax on the suv. The car is still running I have also heard about a man in San Diego that was supposed to have over 650,000 miles on his lexus or even 700,000 miles not sure. The lexus dealers tell me here in Southern California there are tons of lexus with 300,000 to 400,000 miles running all around the area. I have also heard the lexus is the only engine that can come from the factory and put into an plane and be FAA approved I have seen the bottom of the lexus motor and the main bearings are just huge Ive been told by the lexus techs that the lexus motor is the best motor built anywher in the world today. Mercedes, BMW,Porche you guys paying attention

since this is about mileage and all just wondering if anyone heard about the chevy suv dont remember the name of it off the top of my head from 1988 this guy is just about to hit a million miles on it with the original motor and tranny hes gone through 4 radiatiors 2 water pumps and 3 gas tanks, and i guess once he hits a million chevy is going to buy it from him so they can study it! now thats impressive too.
