Hello men, I recently bought a 2000 1UZ-FE motor from a jdm supplier. My goal is to put it in my 2005 Baja tacoma. All but 1 end of motor loom is intact. I believe cut end went to fuse box. I have the end that goes to main cpu+traction control cpu. Don't believe I need TC cpu. Most of the cut wires have a stripe, except for 3 browns, pink, blk, and a bigger blue/shielded cable. I am looking for pin out for cpu 89661-50522?? The 98-2000 GS is closest I've found. Thanks for any help you can give me.
Maybe ask in a Tacoma forum? I doubt anyone's done this kind of swap before. People here are usually happy with these LS400s and don't tend to do engine swaps like that. Plus these really aren't the best platform for drift cars, track cars, etc. They're more for cruising and highway/autobahn stretches of interstate.
If the harness is cut I would just recommend you look for a USDM engine harness and ECU.
IF you're not in an emissions controlled state you're probably better served going with a standalone EMS, the factory ECU is going to trip out without the factory trans and the hose of emissions related components present int he donor vehicle.
I'd be looking for stand alone ecu's and not even trying to use a fancy CAN bus system with all the key programming and all the other crap that will be a huge fight, to get it up and running. The time and headaches and hiring someone that is a super can hacker to accomplish it all, to me is just not worth it, unless its just a fun thing for you to do.
The pin outs are the least of your problems to come. Get all the needed info on the Toyota tech site.
