I've seen much discussion but here is the question. I have a 96 w 120k on it....runs fantastic when cold to cool. Has new alternator/battery. (thx for nothing mechanics) Warmed up yesterday. After parking it for a half hour it did its poltergeist thing it did last summer...starts goes..then cuts out ..all elect goes crazy everything starts shutting down drive about a mile and park as it dies. Go back later when cooler temps runs perfect. ECU or fuel pump? Which would you replace first.. Should I do the fuel fllter if I do the fuel pump? Anyone know of the best place to send the ecu to have it checked and fixed? T.i.a. It did get a new timing belt at about 105k..some say in that can cause weird wire chaffing or something.
