Ideas on shining seat leather.
I have used Leatherique and later 403 on my "99" but am not getting the result I'd like. I've searched but cannot find any ideas on how to get the light gray leather to shine barring shoe polish. Any thoughts? Should I just be happy with the pristine matte finish?

Not sure what you mean by getting it shiny other than maybe just that it's dull and faded. I'm working on mine but i don't expect it to glisten when i'm done.
I've just tried using Griots Leather rejuvenator because i don't think my black leather seats has ever gotten properly conditioned. With that being said it will take several applications to try and get it back close to it's original glory. The instruction call for applying it and letting it sit for some time for the solution to soak in and to keep applying until you notice that the solution no longer is penetrating the leather. It takes a few hours between applications for you to really notice that it's getting into the leather. I've probably applied a few coats and it took a few days to notice a difference in the feel of the leather... it's softer and has less of a faded look. It's not all the way there yet but i will probably get into the habit of applying it for another few weeks on the weekends to see if i can get it to a point where all i need to do is lightly condition to maintain consistency.

Thanks. Mine is almost perfect no wear, you described it.... dull. Leatherique didn't seem to do a lot. I deduced after 2 applications my leather was supple and sealed well, just dull.
I wonder if clear shoe wax might help, but do not want to do something I can't go back on. I am not claiming to know anything about this leather just the opposite.
Maybe it's as good as it will be for its age.

I really dig on griots products... they have leather products for every need depending on it's condition... you can even call them and ask them what you are trying to do and they can recommend the best one to use.
