Ditto that for the 89 Celsior (presumably also same as the 90-94 Celsior/Lexus)
I tried to clear the code and it don't do the trick in my case. The airbag light is still on.
I think maybe I damaged the sensor when I shorted the alternator to ground and blue the main alternator fuse.
I'm resisting the temptation to just tape the Airbag projector Laser / LED / bulb / whatever it is.
Come to that, does anyone know how to TEST the airbag sensor?
Thanks

Addendum:
Found this on ebay (wont ship to Australia, so this one wont do me any good, but may help others).

This is really just a little airbag replacement device (too fool the airbag sensor and hence computer into thinking the airbag is OK).
I'm pretty sure using it as a cheat replacement airbag is illegal (or should be), but I'm thinking of it as a tool to see if the airbag is really at fault, or if the sensor / computer is at fault.
I was thinking of it as a cheap $2 check, not an airbag replacement.
I will look for one available to Australia.
