The REDESIGNED LS430 For MY 2004
#20
so is this soppose to be like the 2004 LS with minor changes or somethinh? if they make the LS with a smart Key, i think that they should make the ES with one because most of the equiment from the ES is the same as the LS. the cheif engineer of the ES establishes it as the baby LS

ER refers to the "Euro Revision" from what I have been told.... little more basic in standard options - no nav & the suspension is coilover not airide... therefore it has a lower stance and better driving performance...
I do not know if this is similar to what will be offered in the LS in US or Canada - it is only a reflection of what is available here in Japan now... In Japan there are not model "years" per-say - they seem to go simply by model "designation" ( mine is UCF 21 ) and date of manufacture.... they have "new model" releases but not the "New 2004 Model release" as per North American standard.....
BTW - the ER version has been available for a long time - my factory glossy brochure for my Celsior ( circa 1996 ) shows the er version in great detail with pictures of the suspension all laid out....
Once again - what we get here in Japan is not necessarily what the N.A. market will see with the general exceptions of body styling which usually remains the same.... My 96 Celsior is far better equipped than most LS's available in the same model year in the States..... You ever seen 100% pure virgin wool seats in a 96 LS????
The source of the pictures is the "Official" Toyota Celsior site...........
Here is 1 of 2 scans for the 1996 Celsior ER Package from the brochure...

Chopped???
Not sure what you mean by "chop" - but if you're suggesting it's Photoshopped - it's not..........
It comes DIRECTLY from my 1996 Factory Celsior Promotion Book - this is not a brochure or a pamphlet or even a magazine - it is a 54 page soft cover "Book" entitled ( in Japanese ) " Celsior - The Pursuit of Perfection " and it is a very nice book indeed - great pictures and super quality.. Don't think they gave them out at the corner store....
My car was listed at 6,694,000 yen and with options cost 7,900,000 yen as per the original sales receipt - in the day that was about $75,000 USD......... I assume that only drivers spending that sort of serious yen got one of these books.....
You don't see too many of the eR version running around Hokkaido / Sapporo area because we get so much snow - Air ride with driver adjustable 2 position ride height was the norm... but in Tokyo there are quite a few of these running around and they ARE that low from the Factory.........

I'm interested in seeing what these wool seats look like. I know that the Japanese are into high-end fabrics instead of leather in luxury vehicles. Do you have any pics of your car, or from a brochure with these seats?
