Default Replaced radiator, still over heating?!

I replaced the radiator today, and when at idle the car was in the normal temp, second I started driving it immediately went back up into the high, the radiator isn’t leaking and everything looks good, cleaned the thermostat. What could this be ?

did you put in a NEW radiator??
A LITTLE WARNING:
RADIATOR:
I had to replace mine at 220k, this year, would not circulate coolant properly and ran HOT.. but I was on top of it and done no damage except to my childrens $$$.. water pump failed(from running so hot) so I redone TB/WP (actually thought I had bought a "cheap" kit) the heat overcame the pump, and after replacing IT, could not get it to run with out getting VERY hot in only two blocks,,, took us four days to find it was the radiator NOT circulating properly... it never leaked.. in fact we just replaced the radiator because there was nothing else to replace... and it was it... ran like a champ, still does... be careful.. guys.. (& gals)
SO: if yours is running over normal... well a hint to the wise is sufficient..

In my case it was the actual radiator, on the front you could see where it was spraying out the water, second we would poor it in it would shoot right out the front

Cooling system may have air in the system that needs to be vented.

Toyota and Lexus 3.5l V6 2GR-FE coolant bleeding trick

The 3.5L 2GR-FE V6 of late model Toyota and Lexus cars and SUVs can be tricky to bleed of air after coolant replacement. Toyota installed a bleed screw on this engine specifically to help with this. Located towards the front of the engine is a small 10mm brass fitting:

2GR coolant air bleed port

If you open this valve while filling the coolant through the radiator, bleeding the air out of the coolant will be much easier. As Eden Prairie and Chanhassen’s independent Toyota and Lexus repair shop, we hope this helps a DIY or auto mechanic out!

The Lexus V8 has a bleeder also, right on top of the Thermostat housing, see photo.

I got it running, thanks for the responses everyone, all I did was unplug the *** to let the dirty water drain out, kept it running and kept adding water, and eventually it ran normal and didn’t over heat. I took a risk and drove over 50 miles to work and back and made it home with normal temp.
