Bank 1 is completely accessible from under the car. The drivers side is a bit challenging if laying on your back and reaching up to disconnect the harness connector. The passenger side was easy, in-out in about 8-10 minutes. If you have a lift no concerns.

Fortunately So. Cal doesn't deal with snow-salt and rusting issues so getting them off wasn't an ordeal. Spray a rust penetrant and let set. When installing the new ones apply a small amount of the supplied copper anti-seize on the threads.

Didn't know adding the spacer was an issue. I only suggested it because my buddy bought new sensors and still had the same issue. Sent him the link about it and he passed smog.
