Where to find best aftermarket for 91 LS400
Hello everyone,
After replacing my car's Nakamichi stereo and removing amp from the trunk my car's power antenna is no longer working. So I am looking into replacing my car's power radio antenna with an aftermarket non power antenna. Is there anyone out there that has tried an aftermarket antenna that looks cool on 91 LS400 and also fits the OEM hole curve? Thanks!

Hi AlaskanLS,
There are indeed alternate replacement antennas for these cars. Most of them are either stubby antennas or telescoping, like the OEM unit.
Conversions have been done on at least the LS and SC in the past. Here is an example:

I'm not sure about ones that look cooler or how owners find a seal that fits around the body curve, but I would assume that it depends on the kit.
There are a few other threads in this sub-forum regarding "stubby" antenna conversions. Try doing a search via the forum or Google, and there should be a few good ones.
Hope this helps.

in my 97, I reused the imprinted cell phone antenna on the back glass as the radio antenna!
simply connect the radio antenna feed to the cell phone coaxial cable antenna feed in the trunk (if equipped).
no more ugly aerial antenna, and I received the full range of FM/AM stations like normal!
