Can anyone tell me the best online place to purchase an OEM replacement headlight assy that is NOT a Dealer? My car has the auto leveling feature. It works fine but is cosmetically damaged. I did buy a unit a few months ago form an online outfit, but it turned out to be a Chinese mfd part of 'questionable quality' and did not have the leveling feature I needed. My Mechanic told me to send part back (I did) and just "bite the bullet" and order from a Lexus dealer.
eBay seems to have a lot of these knockoff parts available at fairly reasonable prices (~$150-250) but you never know what you are getting until it arrives. So am I going to have to pay $500 for a part for a 18-20 year old car? Has to be a way around this. Any weblinks or ideas are much appreciated!

There are aftermarket options that will work just fine.
if you search by part number you should be able to find compatible OEM & aftermarket options.
part #:
81110-50170 (passenger HID)
81130-50170 (driver HID)
you could also get a used OEM part.
if you buy new from a dealer, I recommend Lexus of Kendall (FL). They have the cheapest prices for factory parts that I have seen .
