Hello, So I am looking to install a dash cam with parking mode in my car. I am wondering what fuses are always on and what fuses are off? Also what fuses would you guys recommend using for the camera? I will be using the fuse box in the car however as another question would it be possible to send the cables through the firewall and out to the fuse box in the hood?
Thanks
Thanks

you'll have to find a constant battery power fuse in the panel.
not sure which ones off the top of my head but there is certainly at least one, perhaps the cig lighter or taillight.
I'm sure these cameras don't draw too much power but over time the battery will drain, no?

It will drain the battery, however, there is a voltage cutoff. I will set the voltage cut off to 12V so the battery won't die on me and I will need a jump.

I got another question about the door circuit, do any of you know if it power cycles. The reason I ask is the camera seems to turn back on after a few minutes of being shutting it down. If any of you know if it does power cycle that can explain the issue. I will try to tap into some other fuses and see what happens.
