1998 LS400 electric cooling fan Relay
Anyone know how to check the cylinder shaped relays for the electric fan? These relays are in front of the radiator on the driver's side and behind the headlight. The electrical fan is in front of the radiator. If I unplug the AC connector atop one of the cylinder the fan will come on. Otherwise, it never runs. Must be the relay, so I would like to know the voltage or ohms testing the pins sequence and such. Please.

i recently replaced both relays behind the headlight on my 98. i noticed that my electric fan was not turning on. First i made sure the fan itself was spinning freely. Upon the recommendation of some very helpful CL members i replaced both of those relays. Cost me about $20 for both including shipping from rockauto. I was able to get the exact same oem relays. After i replaced the relays my fan is now working like its supposed to. Sorry i did not do any sort of testing on the relays like you are trying to do. I simply replaced mine.
good luck
