Default Installing an aftermarket stereo in 2000 Nakamichi system help!

Hi guys, I have been looking everywhere tring to find a wiring harness for my car but I didn’t find anything. They say they don’t make them for the Nakamichi, so I decided to do it with out
a harness. I started by find the postive battery through my multi meter but I’m having difficulty because the OEM grey harness have 4 wires that have continuity so I’m confused where to start. Also I looked online for the colors of the wires but they didn’t match my car.
I have 2000 ls400

It is helpful to provide the model year of your car when asking questions. I looked in your profile and saw that you have a 2000 LS400. I drove a 2000 LS400 for 11 years ... sold it in 2014.

If you had looked at the FAQ threads at the top of the LS400 forum, you would have found a link to the 2000 LS400 Nakamichi diagram that I posted some years ago. I'll make it easy for you and provide a direct link to the post to which it is attached: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls-...ml#post4573956

It doesn't contain much technical information but here is a post about Best Buy installing a Kenwood double DIN into my 2000 LS400 using the Nakamichi amp and all the Nakamichi speakers including the subwoofer - it worked great!: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls-...ml#post8219167

Here is a thread that might help some: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls-...version-3.html

thanks for the fast reply. Yes I have 2000 ls 400 and I saw your thread couple days ago. I looked at diagram you provided Looking for the same wire colors that my car Have, I couldn’t find anything close to mine. I don’t know why maybe the previous owner changed it or something. As for the thread about best buy install, I think I will just do the same and go to a near best buy and see if they can help with it.
Thanks again for the help.
I will attach a picture of the wire harness that I cut form the car.
