Default Cooling fan broken 99 ls

Also the temp gauge is like that only when th car is started, once it gets warmed up it goes up to the top 2-3 notches bear read if I keep it on long enough

So I’m not sure if it’s supposed to be like this.... but the fan in front of the radiator is not moving, it’s still, and the car has been over heating, does this only move when driving ? Or is it always supposed to be spinning, here is a pic. Thanks

your car sounds like it overheats at idle ?

make sure you turn the AC on then check if that fan is spinning.

does it overheat without the AC on ?

It over heats at idle yes. And with AC on it doesn’t move...than fan just sits there. and when it’s off it will over heat but not as fast as it would with ac
