Default Steering Yoke gone bad again

My steering yoke/column has gone bad again! Making a clunking noise. I just replaced it 15,000 miles previously with original lexus parts at a lexus dealer. It was working just fine until last week when I installed Polyurethane steering rack bushings. The next day noise was coming from the steering column, and verifed from the column. Discontinued part mostly so going to comb the junk yard cars.

What I want to ask is would putting polyurethane rack bushings make it harder for the steering wheel and damage the steering column? Shocked that new part could go so bad
