Default 91 LS400 Winsheild Moulding.

Hello everyone! Last year I replaced front windshield on my 91 LS400 by Safelite. Later I notice that there is huge gap on both left and right ride side of the windshield. Due to that gap window noise gets annoying at high speed. Can someone please upload a picture of their 90 to 94 LS400 windshield left and right side moulding. I wonder if this gap is due to missing piece or is it by default. Thanks!

I'm not able to take a photo of my car right now, but I drew this diagram based off of my observations from last year.

The top of your windshield should look like this on the left and right side.

Some notes about this diagram:
  • The windshield upper trim piece (windshield moulding) with the chrome strip should be made out of plastic, and spans across the top of the windshield.
  • According to the body manual, the gap between the glass and the body should be about 4 mm. [See below diagram]
Here is the alignment spec:

And here is the official diagram for the parts:

Thank you my friend for taking time to explain. Right now I am not close to my car and 700 miles away at work but once I reach home, I will take it's pictures and explain what I am taking about. Actually that side aluminum trim black one is hallow from inside. Is there a rubber piece that belong in there or it's hallow by default?

The side aluminum trim is supposed to be hollow when looking at it from the side. You should be able to see space between it and the windshield glass.

Thank you, that is what I wanted to confirm, when I look at aluminum trim from the side, it is hallow and I thought it was missing rubber weatherstrip.

Default Is this missing a rubber piece?

Isn’t there suppose to be weatherstripping in the gap?

Thanks buddy! It sure helped. I thought gap was missing some sort of weatherstripping.

The pictures look perfect. Your car has the parts installed correctly - there are no seals missing there. Mine has the factory windshield, and there are not supposed to be seals filling the gaps between the side mouldings and the windshield on 1990-1994 UCF10/11 models.
