Wait until you get one. I've been fascinated by cars all my life and have owned over 50 at this point. Toyota vehicles are the best, especially mid 2000 models and back. I have wanted a Lexus since they debuted in 1990. I've been all over mine, under it, had all the wheels off, etc. It is absolutely over engineered. I took it out the other day and really opened it up. I mean this thing will flat out move. There is nothing that sounds nicer than the intake on a 32 valve V8! Some guys like loud, dual exhaust. I like to hear what it's doing, not what it has done

There are also a lot of quirks on these cars.I STRONGLY advise you spend weeks here reading this board,I probably read 1/2 of the entire board it seemed like before I bought.Things like navigation and air suspension are NOT pluses on these cars.
Search the threads on 'Im buying a car,what do I need to know'....those threads are literally worth their weight in gold.PLEASE be patient,a few weeks could be the difference between a car you love and a monster you have to dump after big bux in a year or so.

I went and looked at the 2000 400 LS, it was good for the money but I could not find the service record on the timing belt plus it was not the color I want so I opted out. I like the car however, not junked up with un necessary gadgets and very solidly made for sure and everything worked as it should. I will keep looking..... Thanks for all the help...........
By the way, to me a 430 looks like an old geezer car which is not a problem because I am a geezer!

where in florida are you?? here in orlando yes plenty of them on craigslist but they are all absolutley clapped out and terribly neglected. i hardly ever see them on the road anymore and the few i do see are just barley hanging on for dear life. i assume you must be in South florida, thats where all the nice ones seem to be hiding.

There not a problen to find but you are right the nice ones seem to be south for the most part. I usually take a few months to find real good cars, it took like 2 months to replace my RL with another one that was mint.....
