Default Car Phone steering wheel controls

Is the mechanism on the left side of steering wheel that controls hands free operation of the car phone supposed to be backlit?

Thanks for your answer. That's what I suspected, actually, but it does seem like quite an oversight of lexus, considering the attention to detail seen everywhere else.

Those magnet holders are awesome. No fumbling around with a physical gripper.

Protip: If your phone isn't naturally magnetic (some are, some aren't), put the included magnet from that mount inside your phone case so it seamlessly adds the ability. I didn't think of this at first and had it outside of my phone constantly getting in the way and looking ugly.

not sure why this was bumped (likely the "related thread" post mistake)...

actually the magnet itself is the mount, and what you put inside the phone case is just a piece of thin metal so the magnet can stick securely. you can mount it outside the phone case but it is designed to be thin enough to be behind the case.
