Default Guibo/Flex Disk Damage

Id say this one has a good 5-6k miles in it before I need to replace it.

Hey guys. Just thought Id post the state of the flex disk on my 1990. Is this how they age or does this look like something has damaged it? Anyone have a part number handy for ordering a replacement??

I agree with Python. It definitely looks like something has been rubbing against it, and it is time for a replacement. The car could be a little too low

It's not too low. It's above the exhaust. I'm guessing it's just splitting due to age. Something could have been ran over and got thrown up into it also. Oem price is steep for this part.

I replaced mine on 99LS a few years ago, at 207K miles (258K now). I did get OEM ones, old ones looked pretty good, but I was changing the diff. bushings, had diff . dropped and decided to replace flex bushings since the prop shaft was dropped. Wish I replaced the center bearing when I was there, have slight humming noise over 80mph, but maybe its tires...

I don't think anything is rubbing. This looks just like mine did at 220k miles on my 1996 ls. I think it had three chunks missing all the way around. I also had a bad transmission mount. I replaced the transmission mount and my vibration went away, even with my bad guibo. Some time later I replaced them when I had my transmission out.
