What is the normal distance for a '98 fey fob. My car doesn't react to the fob until I'm 15-20 feet away.

I have to point mine directly at the car and be within 20-25 feet. Sometimes less, sometimes more. Feels pretty weak.

Current model Lexi have an "improved" range fob and are published as having an '80 range.

Trick I originally thought was an urban myth is to hold the fob near your body or face while
facing the car when you press the button. Theory is that you act as a reflector (think satellite
dish). I have tried it at various locations and it seems to work...a little...sometimes.

In an open parking lot, I get about 40-50 yards on a good remote battery. Cars blocking the receiver vary for distance. I don't open it at that distance because by the time I walk up it will have self locked again. I usually open-close within 20 feet.
