I'm thinking about getting a Lexus LS400, 1998-2000 model, most of the findings are "base" models... how base is base? First time "luxury" car buyer, had top of the line 2000 Passat (with memory seats, mirrors, curb tilting mirrors etc) the most luxury vehicle I owned
Was thinking about same price Honda Odyssey for family, but I think LS will be ok

1998 base models will lack the wood/leather steering wheel and HID headlamps. 99-00 cars will have both those features as standard. They're very well equipped base, options are the Nakamichi audio system, navigation system. Heated seats are in an option package. Air suspension is an option. All LS400s have memory seats, tilt down in reverse mirrors, etc. They had very few options.

depends on the generation. 1st gens ive seen all the way down to cloth seats without memory, no cd player or sunroof. . second gen base cars had alot more to offer
