OP, see if the button is actually plugged in from behind. I never had to remove it so I would not know how to access it.

It's not a button, it's a dial. Should turn left and right to turn the beebing up and down.

The owner's manual for my 98 shows a button that can be pushed to turn off, and pushed again to turn on. The manual also states that the volume of the beep can be changed, the interior lights can be set to not come on, or the duration of the lighting can be changed etc. This of course is done by the dealer. What year is your vehicle?

Yours may be different than mine. Find your manual at https://drivers.lexus.com/lexusdrivers/ and see what it instructs you to do. If the instructions are the same a my 98, then you might toggle the switch from on to off and back a few tries, testing the remote each time. It may come into itself or a previous owner had the dealer turn the volume all the way down (if that is possible).
