Default Air Intake Hose Question - 97 LS400

Hello,

When I was treating my throttle body with Seafoam, I pulled back the air intake hose and it ripped a little bit. Understandably the car is 20+ years old so the rubber is going to be brittle. I plan on replacing my leaking PS pump and would like to have a replacement ready since it's probably going to rip some more when I completely remove it.

I was curious if anyone knew if the Air Intake Hose (OEM part name: Hose, Air Cleaner, NO.1) is the same for all UCF10/20's. Looking at the P/N's they are indeed different (UCF10: 17881-50010 UCF: 17881-50050) however they look visually similar when looking at engine bay pics. Does anyone know if they're interchangeable? The main reason I ask is even with the aftermarket options, the UCF10's are cheaper and can be shipped with Prime.

I apologize if this has already been asked, I did do the "needful" and searched the forum using Google

I just ordered one for my 1996. I noticed that too, but didn't want to take the chance that the one I ordered didn't fit. It was listed at $19, but took $2 off when I ordered it.

If you need one in a pinch, I was able to find out that an 02-06 Camry V6 hose fits onto the Lexus 1UZ engine pretty well.

Thanks, since I'm going to try and pull a Power Steering pump from the junkyard and rebuild it, I suppose I can play around a bit since they have some UCF10s and 20s.

Where did you end up getting your hose at?

I bought it at a Toyota dealer, cost me $35. But its an OEM Toyota coupler and will last $20 yrs without cracking.

If you're in the JY, might as well be on the lookout for 02-06 Camry V6s and take the coupler off those cars.

I still have it if you're interested. I eventually found a very good condition OEM one to replace this one with from a low mileage, 95k mile snowbird car.

Awesome, thank you! I'll hit you up if I don't have any luck. $35 is way better than the $70-$100 I've been seeing for the OEM Lexus one :P
