Default AC fan

Bought 1997 ls400
when the key is at on position the AC fan will turn on. Note the car was sitting in garage for 14 months
Before purchasing.
Need help

not sure if you have a European spec model or US spec.
here in the US we have two fans: a viscous belt driven fan, and an electrical fan (which does normally turn on when the AC is on).

The AC fans turns on because the coolant temperature sensor that is located at the bottom of the radiator is unplugged. If it's plugged then check the wiring and make sure it isn't eaten by mice. If the wiring is intact then certainly it's a blow fuse.

Those f***ing mice eaten my knock sensor wires

thanks i will check the wiring and can you tell me where the fuse is located?

Check this video you will find the location of the relays. The fuse box in the engine bay compartment is located close to coolant reservoir.
