Default 97 LS400 Shifting 1-2 hesitation and jerk

Hey guys I was just wondering if anyone could help me pinpoint the problem child in my trans. The shift between first and second takes a few seconds longer than it should and when it finally finds second it’s an abrupt jerk into the gear. The car has 183k on it and I’m not sure of the last time the fluids been changed. Mind you all other gears are just fine just a hesitation from 1-2 and sometimes the Tc light comes on and the wheels are not spinning. If anyone has any advice or has seen this problem before it would be greatly appreciated!

It appears that the torque converter in your tranny is slipping. At 183K miles & being this old, all the soft parts in your tranny are rock hard by now so you'll need to prepare for a tranny overhaul.
