1994 LS400 Blower Motor Resistor Location ?
I have a 1994 Lexus LS400 where the Blower Motor just stopped working completely. No fan getting air/heat into the cabin at all and it's freezing here in DC right now! I have replaced the Heater Control Module above the radio (refurbished due to no lights, so the entire unit works and when I press each button to change the Location of Air like to your feet or feet and torso or just above defrost modes, I can hear all of the servo motors are working; but when I press on any of three fan speeds, there is nothing). Then I purchased a Blower Motor Relay that fits under the glove box up on the left side near the air cabin filter (just to the upper left of it) and still no air. Checked the 12v current to see if the fan would rotate, blow, work and it is working. I have also checked and purchased new fuses for the Heater Fuse under the Hood and the Heater Fuse under the dash and those are working. SO, I think the only thing left to change is the Blower Motor Resistor (some auto parts stores refer to it as the Blower Motor Control Module. This is a picture of the one selling at Advance Auto - Denso First Time Fit 94 LS400 Blower Motor Resistor

** Does anyone have any DIY Pictures that would show me where this part is located in relation to the Fan (maybe hidden behind it?) or in relation to the Cabin Air Filter (maybe behind it) or possibly behind the Stereo/Heater Control (maybe behind them and I have just missed seeing it?) or can you describe it to me where it is, since I cannot find it amongst the rat's nest of wiring harness cables under the passenger side glove box. I would like to buy this resistor because I have searched the Club Lexus Bulletin Board and have found a few people who have said this resistor often goes bad and then the blower motor will not work at all, but none have said where it is located exactly or shown any pictures. THANKS FOR ANYONE'S HELP AT ALL......I HAVE BEEN FREEZING FOR THE PAST WEEK AND IF IT SNOWS WHILE I AM DRIVING THERE WILL BE NO WAY TO DEFROST THE FRONT WINDOW AND I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO DRIVE IT UNTIL I GET IT FIXED. Best Regards, Tyn Cobb
