Staying charged
I have a 94 ls400 i had a refurbished alternator put in and got a brand new battery the car has been running fine but now i would be driving on the freeway and the speedometer and rpm and temp controls stop working so the dial drops to zero and now the battery light comes on and off randomly flashes and if i step on the gas to fast and it reaches 2000 rpms to fast the car starts to hesitate and check engine light comes on so i have yo let off the gas and slowly press on pedal for it to stop hesitating. Now the other night i started my car and battery light symbol came on and as i started driving my headlights stopped working and the abs light and battery light and cluster lights started to flicker on and off so i parked it and turned the car off when i went to start it it made a clicking sound idk whats going on

General comment on the alternators on these cars ... they often have problems due to PS fluid leaking on them from above. So it is common for an alternator to fail due to this leaking and be replaced. And then not long after that, if the leak was not repaired, the relatively new alternator will fail again. I think there is a good chance that when this happens, the alternator can be opened up on the back end and cleaned out carefully around the brushes. But the issue is the leak.
A right side camshaft front seal leak, or a valve cover gasket leak at the front there can similarly rain down on the poor alternator.
