about to purchase these to replace the old xyz golds in the front.

anyone used these specific be coils ?

How do you find them? Do you know your spring rate ?

i pre loaded them..adjusted the height to my liking..then adjusted the damping rate...about 15 in the rear and 20 in the front..i believe. and its a little stiff for me.

I bought mine with 8kg rear and 12kg front. Replacing the 10 rear and 15 front xyz coilovers which were just a bit too stiff for some roads where I live. I won't preload much at all if I can help it.

​​ordering new control arm bushings to go on at the same time.

i ran them but with bags, so I cannot say how the ride was with the spring rates, which were 12k front 8k rear.
if they are too stiff, soften the damping a bit.

12K/8K FnF2's here.Damping set to L+8 in the front, L+6 in the rear, and it's comfortable over anything but the roughest bumps.

why purposefully preload the springs? is that recommended from BC?

It's personal preference. They are made to be adjusted to suit you. Pre-load makes them stiffer.

Nice ride. On stiffest setting and not too harsh at all. Very stable and smooth. 30 minute install. Glad I bought them.
I have a different brand in the rear which are still good bbut I think I will swap them out in a few months for the bc's
