Questions for My New (To me) '93 LS400
Regrettably sold my last Lexus (a '92 with straight pipes, pushin 310k miles) And I've had that itch to get another one.
Well, literally just the other day, the transmission in my truck went out and I needed a daily fast. Luckily for me, I had already been keeping an eye on the FB marketplace. Immediately went and saw this lil boat the next night and bought her for cheap.
Here's the fun part. The sunroof rolls back, but does not TILT up on one side and it prevents it. Could this be a bad bracket? Somehow off track? Or is the motor slowly dying?
Also has a bad power steering whine, and a slight hum around the PS system. Could this be one of our classic faulty PS pumps?
On my master switch for the windows, if I pull up twice on the front passenger window, it unlocks my doors, is that supposed to happen? Do i have a bad master switch?
Lastly. How hard is it to change out a window motor/regulator on the rear window? Rear driverside doesnt click or anything so im pointing my finger at a bad motor or hopefully a bad switch as stated above.
Any and all help would be great. So happy to own another LS, unfortunately, it wont be fully stock for long, I usually beat the **** out of my cars. So enjoy the stock look while you can.

Sweet, nice rims! The PS system may have air in it, hence the whine. Since it it your daily driver, I wouldn't try to open or tilt the sunroof up again until you have a definitive answer on what's going on.

Thanks, my last LS had the same G35 rims on it so this really caught my eye when buying. Prev. Owner didnt put hubcentric rings in to compensate for the bigger bore though and 10-4 on the sunroof. Its been raining heavily down here in sweet Tennessee so when it starts to be a bit more sunny out, thats when i plan to really worry about it.
