Hi All.
i just picked up four OE, barely use 17x7.5 rims, correct offset, for Springtime mounting on my 1998 LS400.
They are Lexus (Toyota) rims and a perfect offset for LS400, as well as bolt pattern.
it is currently running 16” Michelin X-Ice winter tires.
so now, I have new rims and need new tires. I prefer Michelins, but sometimes cost is an issue.
my real question, to those of you who run 17’s on your LS400’s, is what size works well for an All Season tire on a 17.75 rim? I don’t want any rubbing so my geometry needs to be spot on. For example, I’ve read that I can put up to a 9” tire width on this rim, but should I do that on an LS400? Will a 9” width create any problems? Anyone out there running 17x7.5’s and know what tire size/brand works for you?
I appreciate your feedback.
Rob
