WHERE TO BUY REPLACEMENT: 95 LS400 Cluster Temp Gauge Needle
Where can I buy this part for the temperature gauge on the cluster. Found out it wasn't the sensor or sender unit but the actual gauge. I took it out and notice it was just hanging.

Might check with Tannin Auto, not sure if they might have or could repair them, although just re-read and your problem is hanging - not lighting up - so less likely

My 1998 LS shows the temp at above middle. It was like that since I acquired the car two years ago with no overheating issue. Some who ride in my car say I should get the radiator checked out but I know it is working fine. My gas gauge is also acting up where half acts as empty. I get by because the low fuel light does light when the tank is low despite the needle showing slightly below half. Also the trip computer destination to empty is accurate. I wouldn't worry too much about it. I suppose one day I will have the whole unit sent out for repair. I think TANIN out in Wisconsin can fix these woes. Also you can buy a whole remanufactured gauge cluster and have the mileage set correctly. Oh and by the way the dealer misdiagnosed the issue and wanted $850 to change the fuel sender which wouldn't have fixed anything. I know cause I bought the OEM part for $150 and did it myself and it didn't solve the issue.

Sorry for your trouble. It must be caused by the failed voltage regulator in the cluster unit. When it is failed, both temp and fuel gauge become inaccurate. The regulator circuit is half-dead or oscillating. I think I can fix it only for the parts cost like I do at local shops but I am too far away from you.

We can definitely fix this for you.
The fuel light is controlled independently of the gauge movement and fuel sender arm position. That's why that still works fine. The trip computer tells you the fuel sender works fine which concludes the problem is the cluster.
