Running and dying problem
92 LS400, so its been sitting a bit and I try to run it about once a month or so. Anyway ran great for about 10 minutes then idled down a bit and then died. Will restart and can use the pedal to run up the rpms and for a few seconds then dies. I have not tried trouble shooting yet. Just wanted to see if others had this happen? I don't need another project right now.

It sounds like a fuel supply issue to me if the engine check light is not turned on. There may be several more items to think of but you didn't specify any and I can't give you any detailed ideas.
The fuel pump is fully powered when starting up, you know. So even when there is some fuel supply issues such as the semi blockage or the weak fuel pump motor, fuel injectors can get the fuel and the engine can be started. But once it is started, the fuel pump resistor limits the current to the fuel pump motor and injectors can't spray enough fuel.

I have not done the trouble shooting deal yet, I will hook up the fuel presure gauge when I get time. And thanks for the pointers, I've not worked on an LS in a long time now. Oh I did check and no codes set. I have fuel resistor spares, so will give it a go. And wow this is what happens when a person does not keep up on his specific car stuff, age doesn't help either.

So I think its a case of just slightly corroded or skin on connectors. I unplugged the air meter to remove that assy, and access the fuel pump resistor to check it, all checked okay, connected pressure gauge and okay pressure. I ran it for awhile and ran okay.
