I think I'm gonna buy this flip key from Ebay. There's a few others, but this seems to be the only one with all 4 buttons. Has anyone else used it? Any other flip key styles that will work with FCC ID:HYQWDT-C? Now I'm just hoping the key I have is the master.
Is this for your 97 Coach LS? It looks like it should work.
Here are some notes for checking your key. In general, for 1995+ LS, the master key is black and the valet key is grey.
For 1995-1997 LS, the master key is looks like this:
Here is a 1995-2000 Valet key's appearance:
Here are two Toyota keys of the same generation, demonstrating this difference:
This does not necessarily tell the whole story though, because a "master" key can be cut from a valet key (although not usually the case).
I have gathered that the difference in the cut looks like this (specifically at the end of the key). The Master key is on the left, and the valet is on the right (90-94 LS keys pictured):
Legender, I interpret that it contains the engine transponder chip?
Must have... I only moved over the inside portion of the fob into the new case and then had the key cut to match my other.
I do remember programming the key but the FOB moved over from the old key. I had original keys, just wanted to remove the longer style from my pocket.
Ahh, that's right, I'd forgotten the 98+ key was a different configuration. The transponder was on the board when they were transferred over. This flip type may not work on the transponder chipped '97's notably the Coach Ed that have the transmitter set into in the keyhead.

FYI, my 1997 Coach doesn't have the transmitter key. It has the separate fob like most 95-97s. This key matches the FCC ID, and should link up to the car's systems the same way as any for a 95-97. I should just need to have it cut and then go through the process of adding it to the system. Thanks to Celsi0r's post I now know I have the master key.
And no, nothing for 90-94. I have spoken with a vendor who got a kit they found to be not worth pursuing. I will likely be buying their test kit to install on a UCF10, but only if I stick with building on one. I've rather fallen in love with my 97 Coach and am planning on making it my show car.

That remote will allow door and trunk function per the FCC ID. The seller does not list that these are transponder chip compatible.
