Just picked up this 2000 Platinum Series LS400 with only 73000 miles for $4K. It's a one owner clean Carfax vehicle with all service records. I'm not a huge fan of gray interiors but I always wanted a 2000 after owning several 90s LS400's. Apparently, the original owner was an older Indian man in his late 70's that passed away. More than likely, I will be keeping this one because it is so ridiculously clean. As a bonus, it came with a shuttle full of Indian cds that I've been enjoying. 😁😁😁😁
Extremely nice find. Someone has done some work as the blacked out emblems on the trunk are not standard, but look great on that car. Very nice find and thanks for sharing the pics. We all enjoy looking at first class specimens. Congrats. (Unless the platinum came that way and I'm just unawares. That's happened before.)
It's completely stock and unmolested. Black pearl badges were part of the Platinum package in 2000 ;-)

Wow that's a great deal. No curry smell right? haha, jk. I was thinking about putting my coach edition champagne silver badges I have on my 97 on my 99' but not sure if it'll work well with the Alpine silver on grey paint I've got.
I got my 99' w/ 147k for 3500 but it needs a TB/WP job badly, belt was done in June 05' @ 90k.
The rims look like early LS430 rims (2001-2003). You could probably find some if you wanted to upgrade.
'Corrected' on the emblems I stand. I'd buy a car like that in a heartbeat.
More info on the Platinum model I was not aware of: source: Wikipedia.
"In February 2000, the limited "Platinum Series" LS 400 was introduced at the Chicago Auto Show in partnership with American Express. The edition featured most luxury options as standard, along with separate exterior colors, wheels, badging, and two years' no-fee use of an American Express Platinum Card"
I'm guessing you did not get the card with the car.
