the LS400 boogieman took my 95s transmission a few years back. couldnt find a good used one and re-manufactured ones are very expensive. had mine rebuilt.
one thing you may want to consider, like all other woes Ls400, check your ecu as it can be blamed for like, everything on these cars directly or indirectly. i had a bad ECU in my 95 and didnt have it rebuilt or replaced. after 5 years of DDing and ignoring it, it caused my transmission to grenade itself. it always shifted weird, thanks to the ECU. lesson learned.
