Default Moving On

Fellow LS400 owners. I am moving on from my beloved 2000 LS400. A few months ago, some dirtbag performed a hit and run on my big green machine. I paid out of pocket to get it repaired, but with additional fixes needed on the car, I decided to go ahead sell the old girl.

I just picked up a clean 2011 LS460 today in Satin Cashmere Metallic. This thing is a beast.

Congrats! Sharp, nice color, and the correct year. The 2011 or 2012 are the best bet (from my research). No funny looking grill and an updated suspension. Way to go!!!

Thanks. I have been researching them thoroughly for the past month. Always thought I'd go 430 after the 400, but I couldn't pass up the deal.

the only problem is that you're parked next to that nice 1st gen 2JZ powered IS so that's rather sidetracked my attention, but i agree that's one of the last proper looking LSs before the spindles took over

this car and the 1998 LS still share a very apparent lineage as far as the front design is concerned, and then the 2012 update more or less laid the framework for the monstrosity on the LS "500" and essentially all current lexus models with the whole pinched at the top, wedge grille design

great find with this one

Yeah, I lucked out on finding this one. Its even got the power rear sunshade and soft close doors.

I just don't get this whole front end design thing. It's not just Toyota, they're all doing it. I like different, but not that different

Congrats on the upgrade. She looks nice. Hope she treats you as nice as the LS400.
