My memory is failing me right now but it is either September or October 1989

nice duo there... i had the same wheels on mine with H&R springs but doing so spoils the ride and makes you constantly worry about bottoming out so instead of buying another set of the 18" tires i went back to full stock for good

other than wheels, I like them just like Japan built them, and I love the soft, quite ride...
I spent 30 years looking for what 98-2000 LS had from the beginning.

welcome to CL. both cars look great! early build 90s are getting rare. my first Ls400 was one. built august 89, #000437. have never seen an earlier one. was one of the test batch first 500 cars, although someone claimed to have one built 6/89 but ive never seen one.

I honestly prefer the 90 over the 99. I personally think it looks better and I just like the way it feels when you drive it better....however the 90 needs a bit more help than I may be able to provide right now. The 99 has its obvious advantages over the 90 primarily being it's age

i feel the same way man. the 90 was special. ive had a bunch of LS400s over the years but none felt quite like the 90. ive been trying to track down another good one that isnt absolutely trashed for years.

Yeah... unfortunately I think I'm going to have to sell mine and get another in a few years... hopefully I'll be able to find one I still see decent ones pop up every now and then. There was a really clean 90 for sale by me just recently for 3k if I remember correctly was all original with I think 180kish on the clock.

This is my 91 ls400
Pretty basic haven’t done much to it, I’m thinking of wrapping it with black holographic chrome!
