Default how many LS400s do you have now? and why?

currently 3.

each has its roles and duties. the daily, the hooptie, and the garage queen.

main car is an Imperial Jade 2000 Ls400 that i use for daily driving to work and stuff. i take it on trips, business stuff, etc. i drive it pretty hard but i take damn good care of it and stay on top of all maintenance both mechanical and cosmetic. gets washed/waxed every weekend.

beater/hooptie car is my white 1995 Ls400. its great mechanically but the interior is completely shot and some of the features are starting to go. plan on restoring it cosmetically eventually. until then, its had everything from cinderblocks to uprooted plants in the back seat. this is the one i take to the beach or the springs with the kids, or ride with the dogs in. i use it like a utility vehicle. i stay on top of mechanical maintenance but ill wash it in the driveway with dish soap once every few weeks

garage queen is my white 1999 Ls400 navi car. i barley drive it because i want to keep it nice. basically preserve it. no eating/smoking/drinking and you will be taking your shoes off when you get in it. always keep a full tank of gas in it. only on a lazy weekend cruise when i do take it out, i uses sunshades, sit on a towel in the car, and touch as little inside of it as i can. i avoid any roads with bumps. i also park it as far away from other vehicles as possible.

how about you?

1998 LS400
Baroque Red

Been my daily driver for about 4 years now. I just wish there were more of these still on the road today. Its been atleast a year since ive seen another 98-00 LS400 on the roads of Northern Virginia. I would love to get another 98-00 LS if a decent one ever came up for sale locally.

your Imperial Jade is my favorite color on the LS 400. Beautiful car

One 1992 LS400 beater the wife drives while she saves for a replacement
One 2006 LS430 as my daily driver after a wreck totaled my Kia Optima.

I can see myself keeping this 8-10 years when I hope to get a 2020 LS460 to continue the 14 year upgrade cycle.

just the one... i don't want to get another since i know if i did i'd end up getting too attached and spending more than i should on it, and i don't want mine to get jealous

the E55 is ok because me and the LS both know it's overall the inferior car and it would be the first of the two to get sold, and they each fill a different role so there's no conflict of interest lol

I have 1, my 94.
I can only drive one car at a time so that's all I need. When I'm done with this one, I just might buy another one. By then (maybe end of summer) I'll be in the market for an upgrade to a 2011-12 LS460.

I have two. One cheap 1995 I use as winter car with spiked tires. Has some dents and a little rust and some stuff that does not work . AC has faded away, steering wheel motors are bad. Radio dead , seat heating dead.
Also a 1998 LS400 which I use as daily driver in summer. Spotless with air suspension and every gadget working nicely .
Pratical with two since I typically DIY work on them when they are not in season.

I've *owned 3 - a 1991 (my first car ever) & x2 1999's. Also a 04 LS430 and beat up a LS460 now. The 1999 was definitely the best production car Lexus has ever made in it's day IMO. Will probably import a 97/98 from japan in 3 years with all the options, backseat controls, etc. Wish they could still make cars like that

I have 2 , one 1997 Coach edition opal pearl White and one 1999 black on black.
I purchased them about 5 years ago after I gave away 2 of 91 LS400 and one 93 LS400 to my brothers and cousin .
I like them both very much , specialty the 1999 black on black that I call the boss , everything still original.
try to keep up with all maintenance, I switch to drive on both to work and both just passed 230k miles on the clock.

98 'Blackbird'. Very possible the last car I'll need.If he dies a 430 is a likely replacement. Local garage will install my motor mounts for 225 dollars, this month or next depends on budget.

Like it Saucana6
Only thing besides black really shows dirt and scratches is if you touch it when its hot,say hello to burns....dont like that and new passengers all manage to find that out.
