Default Insulating fuse box cover to prevent warpage

The fuse box sits near the engine and the plastic cover area closest to the exhaust tends to warp over time due to heat soak.

I located a fuse box cover in good condition and applied DEI Reflect-A-Cool.material to the cover on the heat affected area...with the goal being to reflect radiant heat.

The plastic ears which mount the metal latches to the fuse box cover tend to fracture, so fortifying the pockets with "Plastic Bonder"grade epoxy from.JB Weld.

Bottom view of original fuse box cover side closest to engine is badly warped preventing lid closure.

An after image of fuse box cover after application of DEI heat reflecting material. Pressure sensitive adhesive really adheres well to plastic. A few slits at the top prevents puckering around compound curves.

Used JB Weld plastic bonder epoxy to fill.pockets and fortify the mounting ears. Let it cure a little before applying.

Clean application areas with rubbing alcohol.

Heat reflecting material coverage area in relation to.engine.
