Exhaust modification question for California people.. Pre muffler “Silencer” delete?
So, I stumbled on another thread here and after realizing something I hit put a big hole and dented the hell out of one of these, I was wondering if I can delete them both or will it effect the CEL as far as catalytic function go? Not sure if these are cats or just ore muffler silencers. Would rather just be able to delete them if possible since I already did a muffler delete if it doesn’t effect emissions. Still have my cats and O2 sensors in place.. I circled the parts I’m referring to wanting to delete..

As far as I'm aware, the exhaust on our cars goes like this:

And also as far as I'm aware, please if I'm wrong correct me, that modifying exhaust components behind the cats themselves doesn't affect emissions directly. All that equipment is just there for noise silencing. You may get a subtle change in emissions due to a reduction in backpressure making the engine breath more freely, but usually that just generates more horsepower and\or torque.
I don't know where our O2 sensor is, but usually it is not that far back in the exhaust system. Usually they are before the catalytic converters.
