Re-booting the CV joint - mother of all discussions

I have tried all the methods for CV axle repair/replacement. Aftermarket is pathetic so don't waste your money or time. You can reboot and re-grease if you are proactive and do it before contaminants enter the cv joint. I foolishly spent the time to reboot a cv joint that was already exposed to the elements and it failed shortly after.
IME the easiest/best solution is to find a good used axle that has no tears in the boots.

Think the best we can do is as fondu said. Otherwise aftermarket boots are the only option to DIY
I may consider Phoenix to rebuild mine. They look like a good option

FYI. Beck Arnley 103-2661 does NOT fit our cars.
I have my axles apart now and testing out boots until I find something that works. Might have to go with aftermarket rear axles or re use my original boots, which are still in good shape.
It's a shame Toyota doesn't produce new parts for us anymore. I would really regret to get rid of my car. I've been trying everything
